Share links

Share screen recordings as a link and see who watched

On Pro, every recording gets a share link with a public watch page. No file to attach and no upload to a video host. Send the link in Slack, email or a ticket and see view counts and watch time from your library.

How it works

What Recordio does for you

One link, no file

When the render finishes, copy the link. The watch page plays the finished video with zoom, spotlight and captions already applied. No download, no upload to Drive or YouTube, and no 200 MB attachment bouncing off someone's mail server.

Paste it into Slack, a ticket, a pull request or an email and the viewer is watching in one click.

View counts and watch time

Each video in your library shows how many times it was viewed and how long people watched. View count tells you whether the link was opened. Watch time tells you whether the eight-minute version was worth it or a 90-second cut would have done.

The numbers sit next to the video in the library, not in a separate analytics product.

A public watch page

Anyone with the link can watch. Viewers do not need a Recordio account and do not count as a seat. The page is the video and its title, with no feed of unrelated videos and no ads.

Customers, prospects and contractors all see the same clean page as your teammates.

Where it helps

Any time you would otherwise attach a file

  • Async product updates to the whole company, where you want to know if anyone outside your team watched.
  • Sales follow-ups after a call. Watch time shows which prospect actually opened the recap and how far they got.
  • Support answers that get reused. One link in the help desk macro instead of re-recording the same fix.
  • Customer onboarding, with the finished video kept in the team library so success and sales send the same version.
Compared with

How other recorders handle this

Loom built its whole product around the share link and does it well: instant links, comments on the video, and viewer insights on its paid plans. Those plans run $15 to $20 per user per month, and the link points to a raw recording unless you edit it separately. Screen Studio produces beautiful videos but exports a file. To share it you upload it somewhere else, and there is no view count. Recordio gives you Loom-style links with view counts and watch time on top of a video that already has auto zoom, spotlight and captions applied.
